Why we built CycleVault

Period tracking apps have a problem that nobody talks about loudly enough: they make money from your most intimate health data.

Cycle dates, symptom logs, mood entries, ovulation windows — this information is more personal than almost anything else you store on your phone. And yet, most period apps treat it as a product to be uploaded, stored on servers, analysed, and in many cases sold to third parties including advertisers, data brokers, and health research firms.

We thought that was wrong. So we built something different.

"What if a period tracker simply never touched a server at all?"

CycleVault is a web-based period tracker where your data never leaves your device. There is no account to create. No server to trust. No company to hope behaves ethically with your health records. Your cycle data lives in your browser — and only there.

CycleVault runs entirely in your web browser — no download, no installation, no account required.

Your data is stored locally

Everything you log — cycle dates, symptoms, notes — is saved using your browser's local storage. It stays on your device only.

Nothing is transmitted

No data is sent to any server. Not to us, not to any third party, not anywhere. The network is never involved in storing your health information.

You are in full control

Want to delete everything? Clear your browser storage and it's gone. Want to move to a new device? Export your data locally and import it yourself. You own it completely.

Who we are

CycleVault is an independent product built by people who believe privacy is a right, not a premium feature. We are not a large company with advertising partners or investor pressure to monetise user data. We are a small team building a tool we'd want to use ourselves.

We support CycleVault through optional paid features and direct support from our users — not by selling the information you trust us with.
